TikTok's posting API has a real review process — you apply as a developer, describe what you're building, and wait 2–5 days for approval. The OAuth flow afterwards is short. The slow part is waiting on humans at TikTok.
Unlike Meta or Google, TikTok doesn't let anyone grab an API key. You need an approved developer account, and the form asks what you're building and who it's for.
Developer Application
developers.tiktok.com, log in with your TikTok account, fill out the developer form. Be specific — autoposting your own content is a perfectly acceptable answer. Wait usually lands at 2–5 business days. Come back once you see 'Approved'.
